Media Language is the way in which the meaning of a media text is conveyed to the audience. One of the ways that
media language works to convey meaning through signs and symbols (semiotics). Signs and symbols in media texts are
polysemic which means they are open to interpretation and son can have more than one meaning.
To understand the signs and symbols used within media texts you have to use
denotation and
connotation.
